An innovative integration of mining and agriculture, to ensure the sustainable development of natural resources in the region of Oka.
Eco-Niobium’s priorities are:
Guaranteed protection of all agricultural lands in the area (nothing will be built or stored on farmland)
Underground access to the S-60 orebody and concentrator at the bottom of the SLC’s Pit #1. All tailings returned to the newly mined stopes and old SLC empty stopes.
Guaranteed treatment to 10x better than potable quality level of all extracted mine water to be used as the guaranteed supply to all irrigation and consumer needs in the vicinity.
Geothermal energy generation from the extracted mine water to large highly efficient greenhouses on the old St-Lawrence Columbium (SLC) site as part of it’s remediation plan.
Reduction of the natural uranium content in the ore by shipping it with the pyrochlore concentrate outside of the SLC site.
