Normand Champigny

Mr. Champigny is a geological engineer with extensive experience with both public and private companies, both domestically and internationally. He has been involved in many facets of the mining industry, including engineering, project evaluation, and project management.
He is a member of the Ordre des Ingénieurs du Québec. Until recently, Mr. Champigny was an Executive Committee Member of the Prospectors & Developers Association of Canada (PDAC), and Chair of the Board of Directors of Minalliance, an organization raising awareness about the mining industry in Quebec and highlighting its positive contribution to Quebec’s social, economic, and environmental development. Mr. Champigny is a graduate from École Polytechnique in Montreal (B.A.Sc), University of British Columbia (M.A.Sc), and Paris School of Mines (Specialized Diploma in Geostatistics). He is currently President, Chief Executive Officer and director of Sphinx Resources Ltd.

Michel Gaucher

Mr. Gaucher is a graduate from École Polytechnique in Montréal, and holds a Bachelor of Law from the University of Montréal and an MBA from McGill University. He has been involved in education, mining, energy, and real-estate related projects in Canada and internationally. He has developed partnerships in the design and construction projects in energy generation, renewable energy and cogeneration. He also took part in the construction management and building of training centres in Africa and Latin America. He was a director of Cambior Inc., a gold mining company from 1991 to 2006, the Chairman of the Dynamis Group Inc., a diversified holding company, President of Montreal’s Stanislas College and a director and member of a number of non-profit organizations. Until recently he was Chief Executive Officer of Woulfe Mining Corp. He is a member of the Canadian Bar Association and of the Ordre des Ingénieurs du Québec.

John W. W. Hick

Mr. Hick, B.A., LL.B, has over 30 years’ of experience in the mining industry in both senior management positions and as an independent director, during which he has spent the majority of his time based in Toronto, Canada. He is currently President and CEO of his own consulting company, John W. W. Hick Consultants Inc., and acts as an independent director of a number of TSX (or TSX-V) listed companies. Previously, Mr. Hick has held either senior management and/or board positions with a number of publically listed Canadian mining companies, including Medoro Resources Ltd., Rio Narcea Gold Mines Ltd, Defiance Mining Corp., Geomaque Explorations Ltd., TVX Gold Inc., Rayrock Resources Inc., and Placer Dome Inc.

Robert Menard

Mr. Ménard is a registered professional engineer and graduated in 1972 from the University of Ottawa with a degree in Applied Science (Electrical Engineering). He began his career with Iron Ore Company of Canada in 1972. He has 44 years of experience in project management and construction including 12 years as Vice-President, Projects and Construction with Cambior Inc. where he was responsible for all development projects. Following the acquisition of Cambior by IAMGOLD in late 2006, Mr. Menard has held senior executive engineering and construction positions with the Nunavik Nickel Project (located in the Canadian Arctic), IAMGOLD’s (Essakane gold project in Burkina Faso), Andean Gold (Cerro Negro Project in Argentina), and Newmont (Merian gold project in Suriname).
